Crumpet is a gorgeous girl who is independent and curious around new people and would love nothing more than to be your shadow once she gets to know you. She is very smart, quick learning and affectionate. She loves nothing more than to play with squeaky toys or curl up on the couch to watch a movie.

Crumpet hasn’t had the best start to life, but that’s not stopping her from learning something new about the world each day. She is house trained, inquisitive and high energy, but she does not demand attention all the time. She is happy playing by herself or having adventures around the house and backyard. When you’re out Crumpet is self-soothing and has no issues with being left alone. She will go off for a snooze or play with her toys and entertain herself. Her new forever home will need to be patient while she adjusts to her new surroundings and change of routine but once settled in, she will be a loyal and loveable part of the family.

She eats dry food for breakfast and dinner. This beautiful girl is also fond of dog treats so your pantry must be adequately stocked up. Crumpet is VERY food motivated and does not show any food aggression. She will sit for her dinner, shake, and stay until she is told she can “go ahead/ OK” to eat. Her favourite toys are tennis balls and she will spend all day chewing them if she could.

Crumpet is good friends with the resident cat in her foster home. She is currently attending on-going training sessions with a dog trainer to become more confident with people and other dogs she sees on her walks. She is very food-oriented, so can be distracted with treats while on walks until she is comfortable. With time, trust and training she will improve her socialisation as she is a very smart girl.

Crumpet is a fan of car rides. She does like to roam the back seat so having a doggie belt on her is recommended but she doesn’t bark or try and lunge or jump from the windows and will eagerly jump into the back seat to go for a ride.

As a valued and loved member of her future family, Crumpet wants nothing more than to be allowed inside when her family are home (have access inside and out as she pleases) and to sleep inside at night. Currently, she shares the bed with her foster carer and she takes herself to sleep when she is tired.

Being a puppy at times she is a gangly ball of joy but sometimes forgets her size so is best suited to a home with no small children until she outgrows this phase. With time, training and some patience Crumpet will be a great family dog.
